What You Will Experience
Trad Climbing Course – Peak District
Take the next step in your climbing journey by learning to lead traditional (trad) routes safely and confidently in the iconic Peak District.
Over 2 to 4 days, you'll develop the practical skills needed to climb single-pitch trad routes independently. Working alongside an experienced instructor, you'll learn gear placement, anchor building, safe lead belaying, rope management, and essential risk assessment before putting your new skills into practice on classic Peak District crags.
Experience Required
This course is ideal for climbers who already lead indoors and have some outdoor climbing experience. To get the most from the course, you should be comfortable with:
- Correctly fitting climbing equipment
- Tying into a harness
- Top-rope and lead belaying
- Climbing confidently on outdoor rock

- Meeting Point: Stanage Edge Car Park
- Time: 9:00 am – approximately 4:30 pm daily
- Duration: 2–4 days
