What You Will Experience

Map Reading Skills for the Hills

This one-day course introduces you to the essentials of map reading. Step by step, you’ll build the confidence to navigate safely and independently in the hills. It’s designed for complete beginners as well as those with some experience who would benefit from a day of guided practice. Expect a relaxed walk of around 5 miles while learning along the way. The course also includes basic compass skills – compasses can be borrowed with a £10 returnable deposit.
